My wife ate here a while back and insisted that I try it. I had the chance at lunch today so we gave it a shot, and I was not disappointed.
I had the Philly with onions, mushrooms, and sweet peppers (as God intended). They do a really good steak sandwich! But the real star of this meal is their home made chips. These rock.
The only issue we had was that the restaurant was so packed that it took a little while for the server to get our order. She was very pleasant about the whole thing, and she was a great server. And the wait was worth it, because the meal was outstanding.

Less than $10 for a good sandwich and better chips.

Bloodhound, Auburn
Wow. This place is really good. Everything is fresh. They make the pork rinds right before you order them, so they are still sizzling when they bring them to the table. Apparently they make the mozzarella for the tomato salad.
I had the buffalo burger, which was fantastic. Everything our table ordered was really good.

Acapulco's, Ladonia
The food here is great, and the service is exceptional. Whenever we come here, we feel like we are visiting friends. I had the carnitas la loma, which was very tasty, and hit the exact spot I needed it to hit. It is little cubes of pork that are marinated in some sort of secret sauce. It is served with rice and beans, jalapeƱos, and corn tortillas. My wife had the cecina, which is really thin slices of perfectly cooked steak, served the same way as the carnitas. Except it comes with this really good slaw. I didn't know there was a such thing as Mexican slaw, but it's good stuff.

Deorio's, Cross Country Plaza, Columbus
Judging from the menus on the wall, Deorio's has been here since he seventies, or even earlier. The food is classic Italian, the way it used to beside. Not all fancy, like at the chains, but designed to be eaten and enjoyed. Hearty, filling, and full of flavor. Today I had the lunch special lasagna en casserole. It's very nice. In my opinion, this is some of the best lasagna in town! The special comes with salad and tea. The house dressing here is worth the trip. It's a red wine vinaigrette, served in chianti bottles, and it's got quite a zing. Great stuff.

Columbus Coffee- Bradley Park
Since I had the day off, I thought I would indulge myself with a professional cuppa. I came to Columbus Coffee in hopes of at least a decent cup of joe, and they didn't disappoint. I ordered a flat white, which of course they had never heard of. After I explained, they came pretty close. The coffee here doesn't taste as burnt as that at Starbucks, and it's locally owned. Hooray for local. The barista was personable and double checked that the coffee was to my liking after it was delivered. I also ordered a cinnamon roll, which was really good. It was served warm, topped with icing, and nearly covered the plate. Overall, the coffee experience here at Columbus Coffee was fantastic.

Five Guys- across from Sam's Club on Adam's Farm Dr.
I don't remember when my first experience was with Five Guys, but I have been in this wired six-way relationship for a while now. I can't explain what it is about hand-formed patties, toppings of your choice and fresh-cut fries, oh those wonderful fries, that causes me to adore these five guys, whom I have never met, but I do. The burgers are right. They have boxes full of peanuts. They dump extra fries into the bag on purpose: company policy! And every Five Guys I have eaten at in four states has held to the same standards of quality. Five Guys understands burgers and fries. The new Columbus restaurant is no different. We had a great meal and plan to come back often. Huzzah for good burgers and bag fries!

Dixie Wings, Lee Rd 240
That was lunch!
I had the philly combo. The sandwich is made fresh and tastes great, and is served with an overly-generous portion of fries. My son had the wings combo with Caribbean sauce. He couldn't finish it all, but he enjoyed every minute of it. My other son had the kids chicken finger meal. The thing I liked about it was that it was real chicken that looked like they had breaded in the restaurant. Both boys liked their food, and I was happy wig the quality.
You can tell that the folks at Dixie Wings take pride in their establishment by the cleanliness, the quality of the food and the attitude of those working there. I definitely recommend Dixie Wings.
And to top it all off, they have a kegged Coke fountain. If you've never had Coke from a keg, you need to come to Dixie Wings. That is an experience in itself.

3 meals for about $20, and well worth it.
